Air Europa, the first Spanish airline to resume its flights with Israel

After a pause since October due to the escalation of Israel-Hamas conflict which led many international airlines to suspend their scheduled flights to the country for safety reasons, some have begun to resume operations. Air Europa will be the first Spanish airline which resumes its flights to Tel Aviv from Madrid, starting on February 22.

Air Europa’s Madrid-Tel Aviv route will initially have three weekly frequencies on Mondays, Thursdays and Sundays. In mid-March, it will add a fourth frequency on Wednesdays. Subsequently, will increase progressively.

Air Europa, which operated a daily flight between Madrid and Tel Aviv, except on Saturdays, suspended its flights on October 8, “due to the situation in Israel, flights UX1301 and UX1302 between Madrid and Tel Aviv have been cancelled”, after continually evaluate the situation and prioritize the safety of passengers and crew.

The new restart schedule is subject to change due to unforeseen events and the prevailing circumstances in the area, still in war with Hamas, given that security remains the airline’s priority.
