Emirates: to conquer South America with the new flight to Colombia

Starting June 3, Emirates will launch a new route in South America, with the flight that will link Dubai and Bogota via Miami. This is the third destination, after Brazil and Argentina, where the airline will operate on the South American continent.

The Civil Aeronautics (Aerocivil) of Colombia has approved that Emirates will begin operating, as of June 3, the new route that will link Bogotá and Dubai through Miami.

The airline had presented Aerocivil with a study that proves the existence of a growing demand for air travel between Colombia and the United Arab Emirates.

The flights will be operated with Boeing 777-200LR and 777-300ER aircraft with capacity for up to 354 passengers in a three-class configuration, and 14 tons of cargo on each flight.

With this approval, Colombia becomes the third South American country to have a route operated by Emirates, after Brazil (Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo) and Argentina (Buenos Aires)

“This alliance will boost tourism, trade and investment, promoting the country’s economic development and consolidating our position as a global destination,” said the Minister of Transportation, William Camargo.
