According to the newspaper La Vanguardia, the number of places will grow to 6.2 million, 1.2 more than in the summer period of last year. With up to 14 aircraft based, it will fly to around 71 destinations, among which are five newly added ones, such as Alicante, Tangier, Zadar, Reggio Emilia and Cork.

However, it will still be far from Vueling, which has a 42% share at this airport. Looking ahead to the summer, the IAG company has already announced that it will not add major new routes, but it will increase its offer by 7%, reaching 15 weekly frequencies on 90 different routes. Regarding international routes, its main offensive will arrive in European capitals, such as London and Paris, from Barcelona, where it plans to add up to 3 daily flights. However, it will also increase its offer by 11% in Germany, with the incorporation of new frequencies on routes to Berlin, Hamburg, Dusseldorf and Stuttgart.
