Vueling will strengthen its routes to the largest European markets in summer

Vueling has announced, this Thursday in Madrid International Tourism Fair (Fitur), its flight program for summer 2024, the year in which is celebrating 20 years of activity, with a significant increase in frequencies on key routes, in line with its objective of strengthening its presence in its markets. The airline highlights that This action will strengthen its position among the main airlines in Europeconsolidating its offer in the domestic market and gaining presence in airports in the largest European air markets -French, British, Italian and German-, becoming one of the operators with the most frequencies per route.

In the domestic market, Vueling increases its commitment to the Barcelona-El Prat Airport, where It is the reference airline with a market share of 42% and it was also the most punctual low cost at the Barcelona airport during 2023, with an index of 82.9%.

At its main operational base in El Prat, it will increase its flight offer by +7% this summer compared to last year, covering around 90 routes.

Increase in frequencies / route

Within the strategy of increasing daily frequencies on key routes, in Barcelona It will offer on average more than 15 weekly frequencies per route.

For the 2024 summer season, plans to increase up to 70 additional weekly frequencies compared to summer 2023. This increase translates into an average of 10 daily frequencies per route and nearly two more frequencies compared to last season, placing the airline as one of the companies that offers the most frequencies per route.

In it domestic marketVueling will reinforce its flights with Seville and Malagaadding an additional daily frequency to each one from Barcelona.

In the Balearic Islandsthe airline will have multiple daily departures, exceeding 12 frequencies per day per island in high season, which, according to the company, will consolidate its leadership in air connectivity with the Balearic Islands.

In Bilbaothe second most important Vueling base in Spain, will maintain the routes launched last year to destinations such as Brussels, Copenhagen, Hamburg, Marrakech, Zurich and Faro.
