How to eat at Sézanne in Tokyo, the best restaurant in all of Asia

This is the best restaurant in all of Asia: Cézanne of Tokyo was elected absolute number one in the new Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants, rightfully entering the ranking of the best restaurants in the world. A very quick race to win, that of Cézanne, who last year was actually second in Asia’s top 50, but who the year before was brand new recordat number 17 in the ranking.

Led by Chef Daniel Calvert (originating from a modest town in Southeast England), Sézanne won the favor of the 318 culinary experts (writers, food critics, chefs and restaurateurs) who make up the Academy’s jury for Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants, taking first place with its modern French cuisine.

That’s right: the best Asian restaurant in the world is not an Asian restaurant, but a French one (as you can imagine from the name, which refers to the Champagne region), and this is certainly a feature: to find more Oriental cuisine you must go in second place (taken by Florilège in Tokyo, where chef Hiroyasu Kawate expresses himself in an incredibly creative way, especially on vegetables).

What is it and what do you eat at Sézanne in Tokyo

Daniel Calvert’s restaurant is located on the seventh floor of the Four Seasons Hotel Tokyo in Marunouchiin a decor of soft tones and relaxing geometries created by the award-winning designer/interior architect Andre Fu from Hong Kong.
