B&B continues its expansion in Portugal with two new hotels

B&B Hotels has opened two new hotels in Portugal, in the Algarve and in Figueira da Foz, reaching 14 operational establishments in the country.

The chain, which has increased its growth rate to double its turnover in 2019, is in the midst of growth in the Iberian Peninsula, where it already has 45 hotels in Spain and 14 in Portugal in which it offers more than 5,000 rooms.

“We have a strategy very focused on growth in Spain and Portugal. On the one hand, acquisitions that allow us to cover and grow a lot in the short term; and on the other, new developments. In this sense, we are forming new alliances with funds and promoters, which allows us to grow at the desired pace with a good pipeline and, more importantly, a guaranteed pipeline,” he noted. Currently, B&B Hotels has 20 projects under construction, and the goal is to reach 200 hotels by 2030. To this end, it has signed alliances with partners such as Meridia, Avintia and CEP, among others.
