Paradores closes 2023 with the best results in its history

Paradores has achieved in 2023 the best results in its historywith 328 million euros in revenue and 25 million profits after taxes, which represents an increase of 124% in one year, chaining three consecutive years of profits After the pandemic, as confirmed by its president during Fitur, Rachel Sanchez. “But we are not satisfied, we are ambitious and we want to go further. In fact, we continue working so that in 2024 the figures are better, following the Strategic Plan 2023-26 that marks where we want to go and how to get there, based on two levers: sustainability and digital transformation of the company”.

Your Business Director, Carlos Martinezhas stressed in this sense that “customers already identify us with heritage, history, culture and art. Not in vain 11 of our establishments are located in Heritage Cities and another 11 in the most beautiful towns in Spain. But we also offer sport -two establishments next to world-renowned golf courses and 26 prepared for cycle tourism-, and welfare -11 with a spa and six with a wellness area-, among other products.

Special mention deserves the MICE (meetings, incentives, conventions and events) since, as Martínez has stressed, “we offer what the sector demands: smaller, more personalized meetingswith the best facilities and the possibility of complement them with unique environments to combine experiencesboth outdoors and in the Parador itself, and of course with gastronomy.”

And it is that the gastronomy is gaining more and more weight in Paradores’ value proposition, based on “the best traditional recipes”. With a staff of 5,000 workers, in 2023 they launched an offer to fill 800 vacancies and another 800 this year, according to the president.

With a recommendation rate (NPS) of 66.2% -while the sector average is 36%-, has closed 2023 with a average occupancy of 71%4% more than in 2022, which has translated into 1.43 million occupied rooms.
