The Labranda Bronze Playa hotel will change management in June

The Labranda Bronze Playa is a 4-star hotel, with an all-inclusive regime and a family proposal. The establishment has 122 rooms, two freshwater swimming pools (one for adults and one for children) and a restaurant.

The hotel in Playa del Inglés is one of the 14 that Labranda Hotels & Resorts currently has in the Canary Islands. As HOSTELTUR has published in Certares, it maintains its interest in buying and merging FTI and DER Touristik, throughout 2023 FTI Group (owner of the hotel chain) has stopped operating two establishments in the destination: the Alohe Club and the Cactus Garden, which now make up the portfolios of 07 Hoteles and Fergus Group, respectively.

This year, the FTI chain will stop operating three more hotels: the Reverón Plaza in Tenerife, the Playa Bonita in Gran Canaria (which will now be managed by Servatur Hotels & Resorts), and the Bronze Playa in Las Palmas, which could be added two others in Gran Canaria (Marieta and Bex). The company recently explained to HOSTELTUR that the departures in the Canary Islands occur in parallel with the evaluation of other hotels that they could add to their portfolio.

SmartRental Group could take over the operation of the establishment located in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria starting in June, as HOSTELTUR has learned. Weeks ago, as this newspaper published, the company anticipated that they were currently in the negotiation stage to grow in the archipelago, incorporating assets that were already operational and with a total of 300 rooms.

SmartRental already has an establishment in Las Palmas, but the company’s plan is to reinforce itself in the Canary Islands with the brands SmartRental (tourist apartments), Akeah (hotels) and Live it (coliving).
