The Jordanian airline Jordan Aviation began flying on the Moscow – Amman route. The carrier’s first flight took place today at Domodedovo Airport. reports air harbor press service.

According to Flightradar24, Boeing 737-322 took off from the capital of Jordan on March 30 at 20:24 local time (the same as Moscow) and landed in Moscow at 01:39.

The departure of the plane in the opposite direction, from Domodedovo to Amman, judging by the information on the airport display, is scheduled today at 17:15 (flight R5 796).

In the future, flights from Moscow to Queen Alia Airport will be operated once a week, on Sundays. Travel time is just over 5 hours. Return flights are scheduled on Saturdays. The airport press service informs that the flight program will be carried out by an Airbus A320.

It should be noted that flights to Amman are not yet presented in the Domodedovo seasonal schedule: the only flight indicated is from Moscow, which is scheduled for April 1. It was not possible to find a flight program to the Russian capital on the website of Jordan Aviation. Ticket aggregators do not yet offer seats on flights on this route.

Tourists can get to the capital of Jordan from Moscow by connecting flights of foreign airlines. One of the convenient options is a Pegasus Airlines flight with a transfer in Istanbul. The cost of a ticket for the period from April 7 to April 14 is from 95 thousand rubles. Flight time – 9 hours 40 minutes.

From October 2022, Royal Jordanian airline planned to begin flights from Moscow to Amman. But in August, it first canceled flights for the fall, and then extended the cancellation of the flight program until March 2023. As a result, the flights never began.

In December 2022, Jordan closed its airspace to dual-registered Russian aircraft. As a result, iFly airline was forced to cancel flights to Egyptian resorts from Russia. Negotiations with the Jordanian authorities led nowhere.
