S7 airline flight from Bangkok to Irkutsk took off with an 8-hour delay

The re-flight took place only at 19:18 Thai time, the delay was almost 8 hours.

As the carrier’s press service explained to the TourDom.ru portal, the plane returned to the departure airport for technical reasons, specialists carried out an additional inspection of the airliner, after which it was found to be in good working order and cleared for the flight. The Boeing 737 is expected to arrive in Irkutsk late at night.

Let us remind you that in the period from January 27 to January 30, S7 experienced four schedule disruptions due to problems with aircraft engines. Experts then suggested that the reason was that anti-icing liquid got into the power plants when the aircraft were treated with it before takeoff. This was later confirmed by the airline itself. The nature of the malfunction that occurred at Bangkok airport was not indicated in the carrier’s press release.
