Schedule disruptions at Moscow airports due to heavy snow cannot be ruled out

Heavy snowfall continues for several hours in the Russian capital. This has not yet affected the operation of the airports – on the online boards of Sheremetyevo, Domodedovo, Vnukovo and Zhukovsky near Moscow, evening flights are listed as scheduled, but the Federal Air Transport Agency has already issued a warning to passengers – disruptions are not excluded.

At Sheremetyevo, the departure of AlMasria flight UJ 402 to Hurghada (Egypt) was delayed for 3.5 hours, from 15:00 to 18:30. There is only one major delay at the airport: the Aeroflot plane was supposed to depart for Orenburg at 06:55, now flight SU 1246 is scheduled for 21:00. The reason is unfavorable weather conditions at the arrival airport, where a snow storm broke out: wind gusts of up to 28 m/sec, minimal visibility. Two Aeroflot flights to Moscow cannot depart from Orenburg – departures have been postponed to 2 am, as well as Ikar airlines to Sochi (moved from 18:55 to 23:40 and combined with the Nordwind flight).

Previously, we wrote about an eight-hour delay in the departure of an S7 Airlines plane from Bangkok (Thailand) to Irkutsk.
