Siberian travel agents spoke about the demand for tours to Egypt

Starting in April, direct flights from Omsk to Egypt will appear, the airport’s press service reports. Travel agents from the region shared with the editors of TourDom.ru their opinion on the demand for summer tours in the destination.

AZUR air plans to operate flights on the Omsk – Hurghada route from April 2 to mid-October. Tours with this flight will be offered to their clients by tour operators Anex and Intourist.

Of the foreign resort destinations, Omsk tourists can only fly to Turkey in the summer season: Turkish Airlines and Southwind are planning to operate flights to Antalya. Therefore, the emergence of a new route was received positively by travel agencies.

“We expect good demand for tours to Hurghada. We have nothing announced for the summer from Omsk, except Turkey, and Egypt will be a good alternative,” says Yana Buravskaya (Geography travel agency). “In addition, the duration of the tours is comfortable: 10 nights, our clients love this length of trips.”

Retail representatives characterize prices for tours with direct flights from Omsk as “a little overpriced”: “We should lower them a little, but we think the prices will be adjusted a little closer to the departure dates, as we already had with Phuket.”

“We considered a tour for our clients (two tourists) with departure from Omsk and Moscow,” shared the travel agent. – A similar tour departing from the capital turned out to cost 48 thousand rubles. cheaper”. But taking into account the prices for tickets to Moscow and back – 38 thousand, the real difference is 10 thousand. “This is not the money that makes it worth flying with a transfer,” the agent is sure.

Recently, Ural Airlines, in partnership with the tour operator Fun & Sun, announced its plans to organize a program in Sharm el-Sheikh from six Russian cities from the end of February. Volgograd travel agents are confident that tours will be in demand: there have been no direct flights to Red Sea resorts from the region since the pandemic. As for Moscow, the occupancy prospects will depend on the price level, since tourists have a very large choice of recreational options.

In addition to the above flights, flight programs to Egypt from Moscow and the regions in the summer season will continue to be operated by Aeroflot and Rossiya airlines; tours with this flight are being organized by the tour operator Biblio-Globus. AZUR air will continue to carry tourists to the Red Sea resorts: Anex and Intourist include this transportation in their tour packages. Southwind organizes flights to Egypt in partnership with Pegas and Coral Travel, AlMasria – with Fun & Sun.
