Southwind Airlines has canceled flights to Antalya from Volgograd

Southwind Airlines has removed its flight program to Turkey from Volgograd. Tourists reported this to the editors of TourDom.ru.

Gumrak airport schedule data confirms this information. The last 2S 328 flights to Antalya will take place on May 29 and June 1. Initially, the carrier was going to carry passengers along the route until October 24 inclusive, twice a week.

As the editors of the Pegasus tour operator, which organizes tours with this flight, explained, flights from Volgograd to the Turkish resort were canceled due to adjustments to the flight program.

Tourists who booked a tour were offered by the travel company to replace it with a similar tour with a flight to Turkey from Mineralnye Vody or Makhachkala on Red Wings flights or receive a refund. Clients are still thinking: “We are from Astrakhan, so it is more convenient for us to fly from Volgograd. Moreover, we had already booked a trip with the Southwind flight from Mineralnye Vody, where direct flights to Antalya were also canceled and the money was returned.”

Apparently, Southwind’s flight program was canceled due to an excess number of flights from Volgograd to Turkey and insufficient demand. The route was initially planned to have seven flights per week. The competition between carriers was so intense that tours to the Turkish resort were noticeably cheaper than with a flight from Moscow.

Currently, two flights a week to Antalya from Gumrak Airport are operated by Ural Airlines. From June 2, Pobeda Airlines will begin flying on this route – three frequencies are planned. AZUR air also announced flights from Volgograd twice a week, but this program is not currently on the schedule.
