The goalkeeper of the Russian national team may not be allowed to go abroad due to a 60-million-dollar alimony debt.

The upcoming contract of the goalkeeper of the Russian national team and the Krasnodar football club Matvey Safonov with the French giants PSG is in jeopardy. As Telegram channels write, the goalkeeper has accumulated alimony debts amounting to nearly 60 million rubles, and now he may not be allowed to go abroad until he pays every penny. The nuance of the situation is that Safonov is already outside Russia – in Belarus, where the national team is scheduled to play a friendly match with the team of this country today. However, whether the goalkeeper will be able to go to France from Minsk is a question.

60 million is a huge debt. Tourists are not allowed to go abroad even for much lesser sins, and the problem is widespread. At the end of May, it became known that more than 7 million of our fellow citizens would not be able to travel abroad this summer. This is exactly the number of enforcement proceedings currently being handled by the Federal Bailiff Service (FSSP). At the same time, judging by the department’s figures, the number of people not allowed to travel abroad is growing. For example, by the summer of 2021 there were 5.1 million such people, and a year later – 5.5 million people.

Therefore, before a vacation outside our country, it would be a good idea for a tourist to check how impeccable his financial situation is. The easiest way to do this is on the State Services portal, where there are special services. You can easily find out court debt, tax debt, as well as traffic police fines. If the bailiffs have already opened enforcement proceedings, then information about this will certainly appear on website FSSP. It would be a good idea to check it, not the day before departure, but 2-3 weeks – legal formalities take time. As soon as the debt is repaid, the next day the bailiff will issue a decision to lift the restriction on the right to travel, but this decision must still reach the border control authorities. It may arrive quickly, but it’s better to play it safe and set aside a few days for it.

By the way, in the case of alimony debt, another option is possible – try to conclude a settlement agreement with your spouse and pay the debt after the vacation. However, it is better not to take risks and pay off everything before the trip, and even better – pay child support on time.

Let us add that they will not be allowed to go abroad if the debts on taxes, traffic police fines or utilities amount to at least 30 thousand rubles. Or more than 10 thousand, but 2 months have passed since the end of the voluntary repayment period, and the debtor has not made payment. Also, a barrier will be arrears of alimony, compensation for harm to health, in connection with the death of the breadwinner, property damage or moral harm as a result of a crime in the amount of more than 10 thousand rubles.
