Tourists from the south of Russia will spend a holiday in Turkey cheaper than Muscovites

Tour operators have announced a large number of charter flights to Turkey for the upcoming summer season from the main hub in southern Russia today, Mineralnye Vody Airport.

Anex and Intourist fill the boards of AZUR air; planes will depart to the Turkish resort daily. Biblio-Globus has three weekly flights to Antalya, a strategic partner of the tour operator, Aeroflot. Fun & Sun will fly on Azimuth charters 5 times a week. Pegasus has four weekly flights on Southwind liners. And IZI Tour will take Red Wings tourists, also four times a week.

The total number of flights announced by all market participants is 23 per week. Perhaps it is precisely because of the high competition between air carriers and their tour operator customers that the prices of tours to Turkish Antalya with direct departure from Mineralnye Vody are now even lower than from Moscow. For example, the cost of weekly tour packages for the first ten days of June to 5* hotels (all-inclusive meals) with departure from Mineralnye Vody now starts from 124 thousand rubles. for two. The minimum cost of a vacation under the same conditions, but on flights from the Russian capital, is from 136 thousand rubles. 7-day tours to popular hotels, for example Rixos Downtown Antalya 5* or IC Hotels Green Palace 5*, for 10–12 thousand rubles. cheaper than in Moscow. And by choosing Lara Barut Collection 5* in Antalya, you can save 70 thousand rubles. for two: in the capital, a weekly package for June is offered for 395 thousand rubles, in Mineralnye Vody – for 326 thousand rubles.

According to the founder of the Pink Elephant travel agency network, Alexan Mkrtchyan (his company is especially active in the south of Russia), the demand for summer tours abroad in general and to Turkey in particular in the region is now high. The specialist believes that tour operators are unlikely to announce even more flights abroad from Mineralnye Vody for the summer season; this is simply not allowed by the capabilities of the airport, where a large-scale reconstruction is currently underway.

The charter schedule for the summer, formed at the end of winter, is usually preliminary. It is often adjusted depending on the dynamics of demand. If closer to the summer season, for one reason or another, the liners are not actively loaded, tour operators may cancel some flights in order to prevent the sale of tours at a loss.

Since the largest airports in the region – Rostov-on-Don and Krasnodar – are still temporarily closed, tourists in the region fly abroad mainly through the Mineralnye Vody air harbor. It is connected with Krasnodar and Rostov-on-Don by convenient transport links, both road and rail – high-speed Lastochka trains run.

Let us add that, in addition to Antalya, flights from the Minvod are announced for the summer and to the resorts of the Aegean coast of Turkey – twice a week to Bodrum and weekly to Dalaman.
